Admission requirement: successfully completed training of at least 3 years in a nursing profession or currently valid training contract in a nursing profession (shortening to 5 semesters possible)
The part-time Bachelor's degree course in Applied Nursing Science combines research and practice right from the start.
Throughout your studies, you will learn how to deal with research in nursing. To this end, you will acquire and deepen your knowledge of the research process:
- derive scientific research questions from practical problems,
- systematically research, evaluate and summarize existing findings (evidence),
- develop study designs and collect your own data,
- qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods and
- the presentation and publication of the findings obtained.
You will also prepare scientific posters, term papers, presentations and your Bachelor's thesis at the end of your studies.
Another important component is the modules on social science fundamentals and overarching tasks in nursing. You will deal with the structure of the healthcare system, learn about the legal framework and gain an insight into developments in professional policy.
You will learn about communication models and methods of conflict resolution.
This enables you to view challenging situations in everyday nursing care from different perspectives, both from the point of view of patients and relatives and from the point of view of other professional groups.
With these communication skills, you can better reflect on and resolve frequent conflicts in everyday nursing care with those involved.
In the later course of the degree program, you can set individual priorities by choosing elective modules
- Qualification as a practical instructor for vocational and university nursing training
- Qualification for activities in decision support and supervision (decision coaching)
Applications for the Bachelor's program are only possible for the winter semester. The application period is from 01.05. - 15.09.
As soon as your application to the University of Lübeck has been received in full, your documents will be checked and you will be informed promptly whether you have been admitted to the course. After you have paid the semester and registration fees, you will be enrolled.
