The CDSL awards scholarships for doctorates in the Medicine and STEM sections. However, the CDSL does not have its own funds available for doctoral scholarships.
The awarding of scholarships is regulated by the scholarship statutes.

- DAAD (Scholarship database)
- Maternity scholarships from the Academy of the German Centre for Infection Research
- RISE Germany (employment of a foreign research intern)
