Before you can send the scholarship application, please make sure that you have all the required documents and information to hand, as all the details with the * are necessary to be able to send the application. Please clarify any open questions in advance, e.g:
- Start, end and amount of the scholarship
- Project title
We would like to point out that the CDSL itself does not have any funds at its disposal and that scholarships are therefore only possible in consultation with an institute of the UzL/a clinic.
In order to be able to submit the application, the following documents must also be uploaded and should therefore already be available:
- For doctoral scholarships in medicine: a letter of recommendation from the first supervisor of the doctoral project
- For doctoral scholarships in the STEM field and doctoral scholarships financed from budget funds: a letter of recommendation from the first supervisor of the final thesis of the degree program and a letter of recommendation from the first supervisor of the doctoral project.
If the first supervisor of the final thesis is the same person as the first supervisor of the doctoral thesis, only one letter of recommendation is required. - Project synopsis with problem definition, research status, objectives, preliminary work, approach and methods, time and work plan and literature
In addition, the supervision agreement with the required signatures must be submitted to CDSL: cdsl.service(at)uni-luebeck(dot)de
Registration in the CDSL and enrollment for doctoral studies at the University of Lübeck are also mandatory:
Enrollment EU nationals
Enrollment of non-EU nationals
You can find the statutes for awarding scholarships here.
Please note that the processing time for a scholarship application is usually at least one month.
