Opinions of students

The compatibility of studying and working is great. You have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain practical work experience at the same time. The exchange with students from other health science courses is also very helpful for occupational therapy work.

Lydia, B.Sc. Occupational Therapy

The course has strengthened me in my therapeutic role and helped me to think outside the box and critically question therapeutic approaches.

Britta, 2nd semester Bachelor

The small size of the degree program creates a very personal atmosphere. This means that you get to know your fellow students quickly and the lecturers even address you by name.

Merle, 2nd semester Bachelor

Interdisciplinarity and interprofessionalism are not only intensively discussed here, but also actively practiced - for example in module GW3020, which takes place together with students of nursing, applied nursing sciences, occupational therapy, speech therapy and physiotherapy.

Käthe, 5th semester Bachelor

I trained as an occupational therapist a few years ago. I was worried that it would be difficult to start studying. However, I feel very well guided and supported by the lecturers.

Anouk, 2nd semester Bachelor

What sets the University of Lübeck apart from other universities is its strong medical focus, which I have noticed particularly in the field of speech therapy. Another plus point are the mental health courses and their integration into everyday student life.

Amelie, 2 semester Bachelor

The campus is beautifully embedded in nature, so you can get some fresh air between lectures and still be in Lübeck's city center quickly.

Meike, B.Sc. Occupational Therapy

As I can imagine opening my own practice after completing my studies, I am very happy to have been equipped with the necessary know-how in the health economics and quality management module.

Leena, 2nd semester Bachelor

The course is very well organized. At the beginning of the semester, you always receive a complete schedule with all the courses for the whole semester, which is updated regularly. There are also regular meetings with the course coordinator, where important information is discussed and questions about the course are clarified.

Verena, 2nd semester Bachelor

As part of a separate module, we are taught the basics of scientific work at the beginning of our studies so that we are well prepared for writing our Bachelor's thesis at the end of the course.
