- Exercise Statistics (exercise, 2 SWS)
- Basics of Care and Care Research III (seminar, 1 SWS)

Workload:

Contents of teaching:
- Lecture Statistics: Descriptive and inferential statistics, association and correlation, regression analysis (linear and logistic regression)
- Statistics exercise: Introduction to a statistics programme, data preparation, application of statistical methods from the lecture
- Fundamentals of nursing and care research 3: In-depth study: structure, methodology and quality criteria of various forms of evidence syntheses, In-depth study: selection and application of reporting guidelines, In-depth study: knowledge of creating questionnaires and analysing surveys, In-depth study: knowledge of planning, conducting and analysing qualitative interviews, In-depth study: ethics in research
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
- Deepening knowledge: Students can explain and interpret the results of statistical analyses.
- Deepening knowledge: You have the ability to prepare a data set and carry out statistical analyses (partly with the help of a statistics programme).
- Deepening knowledge: You can select suitable statistical methods for a given research question.
- Broadening/deepening knowledge: You are familiar with the structure, methodology and different types of evidence syntheses and understand different ways of summarising data.
- Knowledge enhancement: They are sensitised to ethical issues in research work and are familiar with the relevant requirements and codes.
- Utilisation and transfer: They have the ability to draw appropriate conclusions regarding the further need for research-based information, depending on the available quality and quantity of empirical results.
- Use and transfer: Students are familiar with the requirements for questionnaires used in quantitative research and are able to use this knowledge to create their own questionnaires.
- Deepening knowledge: Students expand their knowledge of qualitative data analysis.
- Utilisation and transfer: Students know the basic requirements for interview guidelines for qualitative research and are able to use this knowledge to create their own guidelines and conduct an interview.

The module comprises a written examination with duration and scope in accordance with the PVO. Ungraded preliminary examinations can be set at the beginning of the semester. These must have been completed and positively assessed before the first examination.
