You can leave the university by actively exmatriculating; you must also do this after compulsory exmatriculation, e.g. if you finally fail an examination. To do this, please submit your application for de-registration digitally via our Campus Portal.
The exact legal framework for de-registration can be found in the university's enrolment regulations.
At the University of Lübeck, you are not automatically de-registered on the day you pass your last examination, but can remain enrolled until the end of the semester in question. You must then actively apply for dismissal in order to receive your de-registration documents.
If you have already re-registered for the following semester, you can apply for a refund of the semester fee from the AStA and the Studentenwerk within 28 days of the start of the semester.
After de-registration, you will still be able to log in for 90 days from the date of de-registration.
