Life Science Lübeck e.V. was founded by members of the MINT (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Technology) section of the University of Lübeck. These members are active in the Center for Medical Structural and Cell Biology (ZMSZ) and are involved in the Molecular Life Science (MLS) and Mathematics in Medicine and Life Sciences (MML) degree programs, as well as in the Lübeck Open Laboratory (LOLA).
Due to the expansion of the UzL degree programs, the professors of the other life science degree programs Biophysics (BP) and Medical Nutrition Science (MEW), as well as Infection Biology (IB) have also become members of the association.
The association promotes research, training and teaching in the field of life sciences. For example
Events (e.g. excursions to research institutions, career paths for graduates) for life sciences students,
research projects, symposia or similar life sciences events are supported,
students are supported in attending symposia, exceptional research projects etc. if no other funding is possible,
the LOLA student laboratory is supported.
Anyone requiring support should submit an informal application with sufficient justification to the association's board, which will then decide on the application.
The association collects donations for these projects, which are tax-deductible. We would also be delighted to receive your donation
