The GBM (Gesellschaft für Biochemie und Molekularbiologie e.V.) sees the promotion of the molecular biosciences in all their forms, such as biochemistry, molecular biology and molecular medicine, as the focus of its work. With this goal in mind, it organizes scientific meetings and conferences, including the annual Mosbach Colloquia, the Autumn Meetings and the GBM Study Group Conferences. Due to its long history, the GBM is the intellectual home of leading scientists, from whose ranks several Nobel Prize winners have emerged.
The promotion of young scientists is a particular focus of the GBM, which is why students are invited to found city groups with young members.
Since our foundation in April 2013, we have been organizing both internal and public events as Junior GBM Lübeck, which are part of our scientific interests and enable us to gain access to current research projects in addition to our studies.
We also organize student lectures on stays abroad, trips to symposia and excursions to institutes and research facilities.
If you would like to find out more about us and our work or would like to get actively involved, please get in touch with our spokespersons Fiona and Pascal at jgbm-luebeck(at)gbm-online(dot)de. Or take a look at our Instagram account.
We also have a moodle course (jGBM Stadtgruppe Lübeck) where you can get all the updates on events and meetings.
We look forward to meeting you!
