Classes and lectures:
- Respiratory Therapy and Relaxation (exercise, 1 SWS)
- Lymphatic Drainage (exercise, 2 SWS)
- Physical Therapy 2 (exercise, 4 SWS)
- Connective Tissue Massage (exercise, 1 SWS)
Workload:

Contents of teaching:
- Theoretical basics and possible applications of PNF
- Effect, indications and contraindications of PNF
- Treatment planning and implementation according to the concept of PNF
- Theoretical basics and analysis of the texture of the tissue
- Effect, indications and contraindications of lymphatic drainage
- Development and implementation of lymphatic drainage treatments on various parts of the body to regulate the fluid content
- Basics, treatment planning and implementation according to the concept of manual therapy
- Palpation of the locomotor organs
- Differentiated manual therapeutic examination and treatment of the joints based on current evidence
- Active, passive and manual joint tests
- Analysis of joint mobility and its limiting factors
- Theoretical basics and possible uses of connective tissue massage
- Effect, indications and contraindications of connective tissue massage
- Analysis of findings as the basis for planning a treatment using connective tissue massage
- Performing various techniques and experiencing the effects of the connective tissue massage
- Physiological and pathophyiological respiratory mechanics
- Development and implementation of a physiotherapeutic breath report using pulmonary assessments
- Respiratory therapy measures for obstructive and restrictive lung diseases
- Breathing support aids
- Different methods and effects of relaxation therapy
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
- Students know module-related physiotherapy treatment techniques / concepts and can apply them professionally
- They will be able to recognize the use of lymphatic drainage and perform it professionally.
- You can use and perform various grip techniques for a diagnosis-oriented lymph drainage.
- They can plan and perform a treatment according to the PNF concept based on findings.
- The students have a deep understanding of how PNF works and can present it.
- They have a deep understanding of mobilization and can perform and guide manual therapy professionally.
- They can palpate the locomotor organs and have a basic understanding of the importance of the therapist-patient relationship. They can analyze and reflect on critical situations during palpation and adapt their behavior to the situation.
- Based on the patient's medical history, they can perform a specific examination of all joint structures.
- They have a deep understanding of the manual therapeutic examination principle and can perform it.
- They recognize factors that restrict movement, can analyze, evaluate and document them.
- They can perform manual therapy treatment of the joints based on findings.
- Based on their analysis of the findings, they can plan a treatment using connective tissue massage.
- They are able to apply and perform the various techniques of connective tissue massage appropriately.
- They can carry out a physiotherapeutic respiratory evaluation in a patient-oriented manner.
- Based on their analysis of the findings, they can select and perform respiratory therapy treatment techniques appropriately.
- They can name findings that require the use of selected relaxation techniques.
- They are able to professionally perform various relaxation techniques.
