Competence2 - training and studies in one:
- Right from the start, our primary qualifying Bachelor's degree program dovetails professional physiotherapy training with academic studies in physiotherapy.
From research to teaching - and vice versa:
- Our lecturers integrate the latest scientific findings and standards into their teaching.
- As part of your Bachelor's thesis, you will have the opportunity to participate directly in the research projects of our academic staff.
Interdisciplinary learning, holistic treatment:
- As part of your studies, you will take part in joint courses with other degree programs in the Medical Section.
- In these interprofessional modules, you will have the opportunity to make valuable contacts with students of human medicine, midwifery, speech therapy and occupational therapy at an early stage and benefit from each other's knowledge and expertise.
Are you ready to make a difference with us? Then apply to us for a place on the primary qualifying Bachelor's degree course in physiotherapy next winter semester.
Our primary qualifying Bachelor's degree program combines professional training in physiotherapy with a university degree. You will attend courses in the areas of physiotherapy fundamentals, human sciences, social sciences and scientific theory and practice. Individual specializations in the fields of neurology, paediatrics and geriatrics are also possible. In addition, graduates gain essential experience in the field of physiotherapy professional practice in seven medical specialties: Neurology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Gynecology and Psychiatry.
One of the highlights is the interprofessional teaching in the anatomy preparation room, where students teach and learn together with other students from the medical section using specimens from body donors.
This means that all training content is integrated into the course in accordance with the requirements of the professional laws. This content is dovetailed with the scientific content in our degree course right from the start. Theoretical content is taught at the University of Lübeck, while practical training takes place in the facilities of our practice partners. After the sixth semester, students take a state examination to qualify as a physiotherapist.
Applications are possible with a successfully completed Abitur. Internships are not mandatory in advance.
Practice partners are cooperating institutions that offer places for vocational training as part of this training-integrated degree course. During the course of study, the practice partners are then responsible for the practical training.
The University of Lübeck does not charge monthly tuition fees, but only a one-off registration fee, as well as the usual tuition fees once per semester, which you will benefit from, for example, the semester ticket and the associated free transportation options and university sports. You can find information on the semester fee and the enrollment fee on this homepage under enrollment information.
The practical assignments take place at our cooperation partners, which are assigned to the students by us. At the moment, there are no plans for practical assignments abroad as part of the degree course.
However, we are working hard on various solutions to make this possible in the near future.
However, you can spend a semester abroad on your own during your studies as part of a semester abroad.
Applicants whose native language is not German must prove that they have successfully passed a recognized German examination (DSH 2 or TDN 4).
