Co-operating practice institutions

While the theoretical phases take place at the University of Lübeck, the practical part of the programme takes place in cooperating practice institutions (also called "responsible practice institution" - vPE). You are assigned to a vPE for the entire duration of the degree programme, although you can influence the assignment during the selection process. Alongside the university, your practice institution is your main point of contact for all practical aspects of the degree programme.
The university's degree programme team and the vPE team work closely together to guarantee a high quality of learning and coordinated teaching content. For example, you will be supported by experienced practical instructors at the vPE and you will also be visited by the degree programme team at your place of work as part of the practical supervision.

Before starting your degree programme, you will sign a training contract with your vPE which, together with your enrolment at the university, secures your place on the course. The training contract may differ from one vPE to another and regulates aspects such as remuneration, holiday entitlement and any additional requirements or offers.
