Scholarships

Funding from the University of Lübeck

The University of Lübeck supports its students through various scholarship programs. These offer financial relief and allow students to concentrate fully on their studies. Whether it's funding from foundations or special programs for certain disciplines - there are a variety of options.

In addition to financial support, many scholarships also offer non-material support, such as networks, seminars and personal support. The University of Lübeck provides comprehensive information and advice on the various offers and assists with the application process. This enables students to find the right scholarship for their individual path.

Bridging aid

Foreign students who are NOT from an EU country can apply for a financial bridging grant while preparing for an exam.

Students who are married to EU citizens or have a permanent residence permit for an EU country are NOT eligible to apply.

Upon application, the Rectorate of Kiel University grants foreign and stateless students a grant towards living costs (bridging grant) for the preparation for a final examination (in exceptional cases also for the preparation for an intermediate examination, e.g. the Physikum).

This is possible if applicants can prove that they have completed a proper course of study with the prospect of a successful degree and if it is clear that they have got into financial difficulties for reasons for which they are not responsible or could not have foreseen.

Application documents can be collected from the International Office. Please ensure that you apply for the scholarship in good time (3 months before the start of funding).
