Change of degree program

If you would like to change your degree program within the University of Lübeck, we recommend that you first speak to the program coordinator of the new degree program. They will be able to tell you which previous academic achievements can be recognized and which semester you will be placed in. Then fill out the"Change of degree program" form accordingly.

If you would like to change to an admission-restricted degree program such as Psychology or Medicine, you must usually apply for the first semester via Hochschulstart or our application portal.

Exchange of study places

To swap your place to study Medicine or Psychology, you must complete the form for swapping places. You can find it under Forms and information sheets.

You will also find the documents to be submitted on the corresponding information sheet. The application deadline is one week before the start of lectures.

There is no exchange of study places:

  • in the semester of admission
  • in the 5th semester (1 clinical semester) Human Medicine
