Contents of teaching:

  • Basics of standard audiometric assessment methods for adults and children
  • Pure-tone and speech audiometry
  • Objective audiometric methods
  • Tinnitus
  • Fitting strategies based on threshold and supra-threshold data
  • Outcome measures

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • The students acquire sufficient knowledge to consider appropriate audiometric measurement methods within hearing aid fittings.
  • The students know the background of different fitting strategies and can rate them under consideration of the individual needs of a hearing impaired person.

  • Viva Voce or test
