Contents of teaching:

  • Critical evaluation of scientific results and reports
  • Illumination of methodological problems and recent answers to these problems in psychology.
  • How to recognize and avoid academic misconduct and plagiarism
  • Scientific writing
  • Focus: Open Science

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Towards the end of their studies, students will have acquired the skills to critically engage with science and science communication in their discipline.
  • Students are able to structure valid arguments and critically discuss results.
  • Students are able to differentiate between scientific expert communication and lay communication.
  • Students are familiar with the standards and can apply techniques for presenting scientific results in a manner appropriate to the target audience.

  • assignment in seminar (presentation, paper, etc.), not-graded
  • Written report
