Classes and lectures:

  • Practical Course Physiology (practical course as compact course, 2.5 SWS)

Workload:

  • 80 hours private studies and exercises
  • 40 hours in-classroom work

Contents of teaching:

  • Physiological Studies in Men:
  • (A) Analysis of the EEG during waking and sleeping, analysis of event-related potentials (ERP, aEP, P300)
  • (B) General sensory physiology, special sensory physiology (thermoreception, cutaneous mechanosensors, taste, smell, sense of equilibrium)
  • (C) Sense of sight (reflexes of the eye, ophthalmoscopy, perimetry, accommodation, color vision
  • (D) Sense of hearing (audiometry, auditory orientation in space, voice analysis)
  • (E) Muscle physiology and spinal motor reflexes

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Students have knowledge about the theory of physiological trials and are able to perform these tests.
