Classes and lectures:
- Practical Course Physiology (practical course as compact course, 2.5 SWS)
Workload:
- 80 hours private studies and exercises
- 40 hours in-classroom work
Contents of teaching:
- Physiological Studies in Men:
- (A) Analysis of the EEG during waking and sleeping, analysis of event-related potentials (ERP, aEP, P300)
- (B) General sensory physiology, special sensory physiology (thermoreception, cutaneous mechanosensors, taste, smell, sense of equilibrium)
- (C) Sense of sight (reflexes of the eye, ophthalmoscopy, perimetry, accommodation, color vision
- (D) Sense of hearing (audiometry, auditory orientation in space, voice analysis)
- (E) Muscle physiology and spinal motor reflexes
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
- Students have knowledge about the theory of physiological trials and are able to perform these tests.
