- PY2901-S: On finding, recognizing and applying an appropriate study: Epidemiological tools for evidence-based psychology (seminar, 2 SWS)

- Concept of evidence-based practice in health care and normative framework
- Systematic literature search, bibliographic databases
- Critical appraisal of studies in theory and practice
- Levels of evidence and study designs in (quantitative) clinical research, health services research, and public health research
- Guidelines, Nationale Versorgungsleitlinien, AWMF
- Systematic reviews and meta-analyses
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
- Being able to conduct a systematic literature search in MEDLINE
- Being skilled in reading and critically appraising original articles
- Being able to explain the development of clinical guidelines
