  • PY2901-S: On finding, recognizing and applying an appropriate study: Epidemiological tools for evidence-based psychology (seminar, 2 SWS)

  • Concept of evidence-based practice in health care and normative framework
  • Systematic literature search, bibliographic databases
  • Critical appraisal of studies in theory and practice
  • Levels of evidence and study designs in (quantitative) clinical research, health services research, and public health research
  • Guidelines, Nationale Versorgungsleitlinien, AWMF
  • Systematic reviews and meta-analyses

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Being able to conduct a systematic literature search in MEDLINE
  • Being skilled in reading and critically appraising original articles
  • Being able to explain the development of clinical guidelines
