Course of studies, specific fields and terms:

  • Bachelor Psychology 2016, compulsory, psychology

Classes and lectures:

  • Workshop in experimental psychology (project work, 2 SWS)

Workload:

  • 135 hours work on an individual topic (research and development) and written elaboration
  • 45 hours in-classroom work

Contents of teaching:

  • Implementation of theoretical concepts of planning, conducting and analyzing an experiment
  • Development of scientific research question and hypothesis
  • Data collection and analysis according to own research question
  • Writing of a research paper

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Sensitization for problems concerning planning, conducting, analysing and documentation of a research project
  • Insights into disadvantages and advantages of research design related decisions
  • Implementation of research question
  • Critical reflection of methodological aspects of the research design concerning scientifically, ethically and sociologically consequences
