Contents of teaching:

  • Basic concepts and theories in educational psychology
  • Learning, teaching, motivation: behaviorism, cognitive theories and their application in pedagogics
  • Learning environments: social conditions of learning and teaching; family; preschool / nursery; school; university; adult education
  • Early promotion of children; learning difficulties and cognitive disorders; school achievement and their measurement; intellectual giftedness; negligence and abuse of children; bullying in school context; health; lifelong learning
  • Legal as well as family and socio-political aspects of educational and psychological interventions (according to Appendix 1 (2) PsychoThApprO)

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Students are familiar with theories and methods of didactic concepts in psychology of teaching and learning
  • Students understand the impact of different psycholgical and social concepts on the acquisition of new knowledge
  • Students will be able to apply and transfer their knowledge to third parties.
  • Students will be able to develop and apply didactical concepts in various contexts.
  • They know legal as well as family and socio-political aspects of educational-psychological interventions.
