Workload:

Contents of teaching:

  • Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)
  • General linear model, incl. simple and multiple regression, outlier testing
  • Relationship of ANOVA and Regression
  • Robust testing
  • Basics of non-parametric testing

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Students are familiar with regression and variance analysis concepts and methods of quantitative data analysis that are of central importance for the collection and evaluation of psychological data, and are able to critically assess these.
  • Students are familiar with more complex but application-relevant concepts and procedures such as power calculation, non-parametric methods, or multiple comparisons, and are able to critically evaluate them.
  • You can apply your newly acquired knowledge to solve statistical problems.
  • You have skills in using a statistics program (e.g., R, JAMOVI, JASP).
  • Students are able to interpret statistical results appropriately and independently.
