  • PY-1605-S Introduction to Sport Psychology (seminar, 2 SWS)

Workload:

  • 90 hours privat studies (including essay)

  • Current research and debates in sport psychology, including the following topics:
  • Sport and motivation
  • Performance under pressure
  • Attribution and attention
  • Exercise psychology and physical activity
  • Experimental sport psychology
  • Judgment and decisions in sport
  • Anticipation
  • Applied sport psychology
  • Motor development and diagnostics
  • Perspectives on children and adults

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Students learn the basic concepts, theories, models and methods of sport psychology research
  • Students are able to understand and critically reflect on original literature from sports psychology research
  • Students develop their own questions on the topics of sport psychology
  • Students acquire skills in independent literature research
  • Students deepen their skills in discussing and jointly reflecting on specialist content
  • Students acquire skills that enable them to go through the steps of the sport psychology research process, including research methodological procedures
