Contents of teaching:
- Current research and debates in prevention und health promotion, including the following topics:
- Models and action concepts for prevention and health promotion
- Criteria of good practice in prevention and health promotion (e.g. setting approach, sustainability, participation, empowerment)
- Psychological perspectives, models and action concepts for prevention and health promotion
- Prinzipien der Evidence-based Public Health (EBPH)
- Perspectives on physical, social and mental health
- University Health Management at the University of Lübeck
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
- Students learn basic concepts, theories, models and methods in the field of prevention and health promotion
- Students are able to understand and critically reflect on original literature from relevant research
- Students develop their own questions on the topics of prevention and health promotion
- Students acquire skills in independent literature research
- Students deepen their skills in discussing and jointly reflecting on specialist content
- Students acquire skills that enable them to go through the steps of the research process and practice in prevention and health promotion, including research methodological procedures
