Contents of teaching:
- Current theoretical and empirical status of the diversity psychology paradigm.
- Central theoretical foundations and concepts of diversity-psychological perspectives (e.g. structural discrimination, systemic intersectionality, discrimination-critical diversity)
- Discrimination Critique Perspectives on Psychological Research and Psychological Perspectives on Discrimination Critique.
- Theoretical, ethical and practical consequences for psychological fields of application.
- Options for diversity-sensitive and discrimination-critical work (e.g. with regard to communication, institutional action)
- Practical transfer
- Professional policy and academic self-organization in the area of diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity.
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
- Students are familiar with key concepts, theories, and practices in the areas of diversity psychology.
- You will be able to examine, classify, and critically discuss scientific literature from a diversity psychology perspective.
- They know diversity psychological findings and analyses and can present them.
- They can provide a transfer of psychological concepts and findings into contexts and practices critical of discrimination.
- They are familiar with discrimination-critical approaches to action and can reflect on and adapt psychological practices in terms of diversity psychology.
