Course of studies, specific fields and terms:

  • Bachelor Psychology 2020, compulsory, psychology

Classes and lectures:

  • PY3800-Ü: Professional activity 1 (exercise (practical, skills lab), 1 SWS)
  • PY3800-P: Professional activity 1 (external block practical course, 12 SWS)

Workload:

  • 15 hours exercises in groups
  • 240 hours in-classroom work

Contents of teaching:

  • Qualifying activity I - Entry into the practice of psychotherapy takes place in institutions of psychotherapeutic, psychiatric, psychosomatic or neuropsychological care or in comparable institutions of prevention or rehabilitation which have a reference to psychotherapy.
  • Voraussetzungen: Alle Module der ersten 3 Semester sind besucht und die Prüfungen dafür sind mindestens angemeldet.

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • The occupation qualifying activity I - entry into the practice of psychotherapy serves the acquisition of first practical experiences in specific areas of psychotherapeutic care.
  • During the Occupation qualifying for a profession 1 - Entry into the practice of psychotherapy, students will gain insights into the institutional, legal and structural framework of psychotherapeutic patient care institutions, which will enable them to apply them appropriately in their future professional careers.
  • You will acquire the basic skills to recognise the distribution of tasks in interdisciplinary cooperation and to work appropriately together with the various professional groups according to the distribution of tasks.
  • Students will be able to develop, apply and practice basic skills in communication with patients and other persons or professional groups involved.

Notes:

Admission requirements for taking the module:
- The internship can only be started if at least 80 credit points have been acquired or the modules of the first three semesters have been completed and the examination registration has already taken place.

Admission requirements for participation in module examination(s):
- Participation in the accompanying exercise

Module examination(s):
- PY3800-L1: Professional qualification activity 1, participation in the work placement, 100% of the module grade

The application for this is made independently by the students. The internship is not semester-bound, but the requirements specified in the SGO must be observed.
The internship must be registered with the responsible internship coordinator for approval and its completion must be confirmed by the internship site upon completion. Internship officer / contact: studium.psychologie@uni-luebeck.de.
