  • Methods, investigation logic, syndrome theory
  • Neuropsychological examination and assessment
  • Speech, Sensory, Attention
  • Visual processing and object recognition
  • Spatial Orientation and Neglects Syndromes
  • Learning and memory processes
  • Executive functions
  • Development and ageing
  • Objectives of test diagnostics and fault diagnostics
  • Tests to detect disorders of attention, memory, learning, executive functions, mood, and well-being.
  • Interpretation of test profiles and calculation of critical differences

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Students possess skills in describing structural-functional relationships between the brain and mental functions and can establish connections to modern neuroscientific theories.
  • You have the ability to apply this to specific patient examples.
  • You are confident in handling clinical data.
  • Students possess practical skills and experience in the diagnosis of mental functions and neuropsychological disorders.
  • You have acquired initial skills in independently performing test procedures, critically evaluating them, interpreting them in a clinical context, and assessing their susceptibility to error.
  • Students know how to assess the significance of quantitative and qualitative clinical information and apply it to specific clinical cases.
  • You have the ability to use test results to formulate statements about diagnoses, the severity of a disorder, prognosis, and therapy goals.
