  • PY2702-S: Clinical Psychology/Disorder Theory (seminar-style lectures with exercises, 2 SWS)

  • General and special pathology of mental and psychologically related illnesses in childhood, adolescence and adulthood, including old age
  • Epidemiology and comorbidity
  • Clinical-psychological diagnostics and classification
  • Concepts on the development, maintenance and course of mental and psychologically related disorders in childhood, adolescence and adulthood, including old age, including different disorder models for the scientifically recognized psychotherapeutic procedures and the scientifically recognized psychotherapeutic methods
  • Characteristics, objectives, tasks, indications and methods of prevention and rehabilitation, taking into account the needs of different age groups
  • Prevention programs and rehabilitation approaches taking into account the needs of different age groups

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Students possess factual knowledge of the technical terminology of the nosology of mental disorders and related psychological disorder models, psychotherapeutic procedures, methods, and techniques.
  • Students possess conceptual knowledge of the application of nosology to clinical situations.
  • Students possess factual knowledge of the supply structures of the German healthcare system.

- In accordance with §5 of the licensing regulations for psychotherapists (PsychTh-ApprO), attendance of 80% is compulsory in this module. Students who are absent more than 3 times per semester cannot be admitted to the examination. There are no substitutions.
