- Endocrinology and diabetology
- Pain management, anesthesia, and therapy in the intensive care unit
- Heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias
- Pregnancy, gynecological diseases, and reproductive medicine
- Pediatric diseases, chronic diseases in children and adolescents, and neglect and violence against children
- Oncology and genetic counseling
- Asthma and COPD

- Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics

Qualification-goals/Competencies:
- Students have a basic understanding of physical processes, diseases, and medical treatment procedures that are also relevant to the practice of psychotherapy.
- Students possess knowledge about the role of psychological and behavioral factors in medicine, which they can take into account in their professional practice.
- You have a basic knowledge of epidemiology, pathophysiology, and treatment of selected somatic diseases.
- Students are able to apply basic knowledge of neuropharmacological processes of signal transmission in the brain and their pharmacological influence through medication in their professional practice.
- Students can assess the indications and effectiveness of pharmacological treatments based on physiological modes of action and possible interactions with psychotherapeutic processes, and incorporate this into their actions.
- Students are able to inform patients or other persons involved or to be involved about the scientifically proven indications for psychotropic drugs, their mode of action, the expected benefits, and the risks of side effects.

- PY2601-L1: Fundamentals of medicine incl. fundamentals of pharmacology for psychotherapists, written exam, 90 min, 100% of the module grade
2 lectures/week, each with a 30-minute patient presentation. Doctors from the relevant clinics give lectures.
