Contents of teaching:

  • Psychological measurement
  • Steps in test development and construction
  • Test theory fundamentals (e.g., classical test theory, probabilistic test theory)
  • Item analyses (e.g., descriptive statistics, difficulty, discrimination, factor analyses)
  • Main psychometric quality criteria (objectivity, reliability, validity)
  • Designing questionnaire items (personality diagnostics)

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Students have in-depth knowledge of the theoretical and methodological foundations of psychological diagnostics.
  • You are able to compare psychometric quality criteria of test procedures and interpret diagnostic information.
  • You are familiar with the fundamentals of test procedure development.
