Short-term propaedeutic course

You have just graduated from high school and know exactly what you want to study and want to use the time until you start your studies to prepare yourself intensively within a month?

The short-term preparatory course is an ONLINE crash course that provides you with the specialist knowledge and skills you need to successfully start your studies within four weeks.

The subject profile varies depending on your chosen degree course and your previous experience.

You will also get to know your future fellow students, which makes it easier to get started in a new city.

The lessons are usually led by students from different disciplines (Computer Science, MIW, MML, MLS etc.), from whom you will also receive tips on studying.

The next short-term preparatory course will take place online between the end of August and the end of September. (2025: August 25 - September 19). More information on the structure, timetable and content can be found here (preview as a guest).

Applications can be submitted until August 15 of each year.

No, but there is the option of taking part in a voluntary performance review in order to receive feedback on your own learning progress.

 

The timetable can be individually tailored to your interests and needs so that you can get the most out of it.

You can participate. Please inform the lecturer before the days of absence.

 

You can only participate if you have the IDM data of the University of Lübeck and your Moodle account is activated. You will only receive the IDM data if you are enrolled at the University of Lübeck.

 

No, but a camera is recommended to make lessons more active.

 

Yes, the subjects build on each other, i.e. you have physics twice a week, for example. However, Math I and Math II are independent of each other and you only take the course from your admission.

 

After successful admission, you will be added to the Moodle courses where you will find the access data.

 

The timetable contains all subjects, you only take the subjects that are on your admission form.
