First semester welcome

The winter semester 2025/26 starts soon and the University of Lübeck is looking forward to welcoming new students!

The next induction will take place on October 6, 2025 at 10 a.m. c. t. in the University Church of St. Petri zu Lübeck. Registration is not required. The program will last approximately one hour.

Since 2004, the St. Petri Church of Art and Culture has been a university church and a special venue for ceremonial occasions such as the first semester welcome, graduation and doctoral ceremonies.

St. Petri also hosts events such as lecture series and science slams.

The University of Lübeck invites all first-semester students to get to know the city, the campus and their fellow students during the preliminary week from October 2 to 10, 2025. The orientation week is organized by the General Students' Committee (AStA).
