The academization of physiotherapy is in full swing in Germany. Compared to the rest of Europe, Germany is one of the few countries in which therapists are not yet fully trained in primary qualification courses [1]. Since 2009, it has been possible to study for a primary qualification and obtain a Bachelor's degree as part of a pilot trial of initial training for physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. It is currently possible to study at a total of 15 universities in 10 federal states [2].
The University of Lübeck has been the only location in Schleswig-Holstein to offer a primary qualification course since 2016. Since its foundation, an active physiotherapy research culture has developed here. In addition to hosting the research symposium of the German Society for Physiotherapy Sciences in 2018 and the now second year of Bachelor's graduates, the course team is involved in several national and international research projects, is involved in various professional policy processes and is therefore very actively involved in the professionalization process.
To ensure that academization does not end at the boundaries of the campus, generated knowledge must be transferred into practice. This is done on the one hand by the students and teaching staff and on the other hand through exchange with our practice partners. We want to intensify this exchange as part of our new project.

Today's evidence for tomorrow's practice
We will meet monthly on the last Wednesday of each month. In the hour available to us, one person from our team will take it in turns to offer a prepared scientific input, which will be accompanied by an idea for implementation in practice. At the same time, we are very interested in a constructive exchange with the practice partners. In this way, theory can support practice and vice versa.
