Contents of teaching:

  • Public lectures/movies on selected topics in ecological sustainability
  • Background discussions with experts and introduction of a lecture
  • Debate what the term “sustainability” means
  • Reflection of own perspectives
  • Dipping into the biographies of different experts
  • journalistic writing lab

Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Students know and can distinguish different concepts of sustainability
  • Students can reflect their own perspective on what sustainability means and appreciate other perspectives
  • Students are familiar with sustainable solutions for selected problem areas.
  • Students acquired theoretical knowledge and practical experience in writing journalistic texts
  • Student can integrate what they have learnt into their university life and beyond
