The University of Lübeck also takes into account the result of a study aptitude test for admission to the Bachelor of Psychology course from winter semester 2025/2026.
The test notification shows the test performance in two parameters: Percentile rank of a person within all results of the test year and the standard value Z.
In the application procedure here at the University of Lübeck, you can improve your grade for the admission ranking list by achieving good results in the aptitude test.
If the applicant achieves the following standard score, he or she will receive an improvement in the average grade of the university entrance qualification as described below.
Registration for the test will take place in the period from 15.12.2024 up to and including 15.02.2025 on the website of the psychology aptitude test.
Information on applications from non-EU member states or second degree applications can also be found there.
The test will take place in 2025 on May 24 or 25 at one of the test locations to be announced later. The test language will be German only. Current information on test locations and test dates as well as further information on test content, preparation and test fees can also be found on the website.
The aptitude test can be repeated, but at the earliest after two years.
According to the recommendation of the German Psychological Society and the test authors, the test certificate is valid for at least five years.
During its validity, the test result can be used repeatedly for applications for admission to the same or other universities that also use the BaPsy-DGPs aptitude test for admission decisions.
Participation in the test is voluntary and is not a prerequisite for admission. You can apply at any time without taking the aptitude test. However, it is recommended that all prospective students take part in the test to improve their chances of gaining a place. A good test result can open up better chances of admission even with lower A-level grades. And even with very good A-level grades, a good test result can be essential for admission.
