Qualification-goals/Competencies:

  • Students are familiar with fundamental theories in the psychology of perception and cognition, as well as the user-related prerequisites for perception and information processing, and are able to explain their significance for human-technology interaction.
  • They can describe key processes involved in perception, information processing and the regulation of behaviour, and take these into account when analysing and designing technical systems.
  • In addition, you will be able to evaluate interactive systems using fundamental psychological criteria and methods from the fields of perception and cognitive psychology.

Prerequisites for the exam:
- Successful completion of homework assignments during the semester.

Exams:
- PY2210-L1: Wahrnehmung und Kognition in MCI, portfolio assessment consists of: 40 points for seminar work completed throughout the semester and 60 points for the final exam. The grade is calculated as follows: 50 to 54 points for a 4.0, then 54.1 to 59 points for a 3.7, 59.1 to 64 points for a 3.3, and so on, up to 94.1 to 100 points for a 1.0.
