Course of studies, specific fields and terms:
- Master Psychology - Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy 2022, compulsory, psychology
Classes and lectures:
- PY5301-S: Fallvorstellung (seminar, 1 SWS)
- PY5301-Ü: Supervision (exercise, 1 SWS)
- PY5301-P: Internship (practical course, 38 SWS)
Workload:

Contents of teaching:
- Performance of anamnesis and psychodiagnostic examinations on at least ten patients of different ages and patient groups from at least four different areas of disorders with different degrees of severity and impairment with at least
- Four initial interviews, four medical histories to be recorded in writing and may be video recorded, four scientifically based psychodiagnostic examinations, four indication or risk and prognosis assessments including suicidality assessment, four patient education on diagnostic and classification findings.
- Participation in a psychotherapeutic outpatient treatment of at least 12 consecutive treatment hours, which is carried out by linking clinical-practical aspects with their respective scientific foundations and for which accompanying diagnostic and therapeutic actions are practised.
- Participation in at least two further individual psychotherapeutic patient treatments, in which one patient is either a child or an adolescent with different indications, in the scope of at least twelve hours of treatment, taking over the diagnosis, anamnesis and therapy planning as well as carrying out interim and final evaluation
- Guided but independent implementation of three different basic psychotherapeutic measures such as relaxation procedures, psychoeducation or information talks with relatives
- Conducting and documenting conversations with important caregivers during at least four patient treatments
- Support of 12 group therapy sessions
- Independent and autonomous preparation of a detailed psychological-psychotherapeutic report for training purposes
- Participation in internal training courses (optional)
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
- Deepening of practical skills in psychotherapeutic care and implementation of the contents learned in the professional qualification activity II in real treatment settings and in direct contact with patients
- Mastery of scientifically tested and recognized psychotherapeutic procedures and methods of diagnosis and treatment of patients

Admission requirements for taking the module:- Successful completion of PY4202-KP15
Admission requirements for participation in module examination(s):
- Completion of an internship at a university outpatient clinic, facilities providing psychotherapeutic, psychiatric, psychosomatic, or neuropsychological care, or in interdisciplinary treatment centers specializing in psychotherapy, under the supervision of psychotherapists who have completed further training or psychological psychotherapists or child and adolescent psychotherapists with the relevant expertise.
- 450 hours of attendance in practical training in the field of inpatient or day care
- 150 hours in outpatient care with attendance during ongoing therapies and during diagnostic and expert data collection
- Active participation in at least 12 SWS supervisions and case presentations

The documentation consists of the following documents (in paper form), which must be submitted to the program assistant:
- Completed logbook for Professional Qualification Activity III Applied Practice of Psychotherapy, signed by the internship sites
- Four medical histories compiled independently and on your own responsibility
- At least one detailed psychological-psychotherapeutic assessment that was prepared independently and on your own responsibility
