Workload:

Contents of teaching:
- Psychological and neuropsychological disturbances as well as psychological aspects of physical diseases
- Psychotherapeutic treatment approaches for different mental disorders
- Psychotherapeutic treatment according to target group and the characteristics of the target groups
- Case design and treatment planning
- New developments of psychotherapeutic procedures and methods
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
- Students acquire in-depth knowledge of the current state of the art in the science of mental and psychologically related diseases over the life span.
- The students are able to assess and expertly explain the chances, risks and limits of scientifically tested and recognized psychotherapeutic procedures and methods, taking into account the individual situation of the patients concerned.
- Students know the special features of psychological and neuropsychological disorders as well as psychological aspects of physical diseases and are able to assess these in all age and patient groups, taking into account scientific findings.
- The students are able to select appropriate scientifically based treatment guidelines based on previous diagnostics, differential diagnostics and classification the patients concerned.
- Students can independently develop scientifically sound case concepts and corresponding treatment planning.

Admission requirements for participation in module examination(s):
- In accordance with §5 of the licensing regulations for psychotherapists (PsychTh-ApprO), 80% attendance is compulsory in this module. Students who are absent more than 3 times per semester cannot be admitted to the examination. There are no substitutions: -presentation of a case study with treatment plan in the seminar
Exam: -PY4103-L1 Special disorders and procedures in psychotherapy, written examination, 90 min, 100% of the module grade
