- Security problems in IT systems
- Security threats, risk analysis and defense mechanisms
- Software and application security
- Security of operating systems
- Security of databases and web applications
- Privacy
- Security oriented development processes, evaluation and penetration testing
- Legal, etical and economic aspects
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
- Students can independently identify security risks of software systems and explain the common security solutions from the areas discussed in the course.
- They can explain the basic methods in the area of cybersecurity and apply them to case studies.
- They can independently perform security analyses for simple scenarios.
- They are able to identify methods for eliminating weak points and implement concrete solutions.
